TANKER RESPONDS TO SECOND MUTUAL AID CALL IN JANUARY
Monday, January 21, 2008
-
Tanker 38 was dispatched to its second mutual aid call in the month of January. Tanker 38 participated as part of a tanker task force at the Bunker Hill Golf course on Bunker Hill Road in Griggstown. A passing motorist reported the fire at the Club House to Franklin Township Police. Upon arrival, Griggstown Fire Company found fire coming from a window on the front of the building. Entry had to be forced into the one story structure as all other doors and windows were found to be intact and secured. Once entry was gained, the majority of the fire was found to be centered in the manager's office where the fire had initially been observed venting through the window. That fire was extinguished, however, it had spread through the area above the suspended ceiling and caused heat and smoke damage throughout the entire structure.
